Candidates who have passed class 12th, can enter Indian army through NDA(National Defence Academy), which is conducted by the UPSC
(Union Public Service Commission) two times in one year.
NDA - National Defence Academy conducts exam for - Air Force, Navy and Army.
Eligibility criteria -
12th pass with Physics and Maths from a recognised board with 50%marks.
Age should be between 16.5 - 19 years.
Unmarried male candidates only can apply.
Stages of exam -
There are three stages of this exam -
1. Written exam
2. Interview
3. Medical examnation

NDA exam are conducted twice a year, the eligibility is 12th pass. For your eye problem, if you have the normal vision 6/6 then its okay, otherwise, you should correct it to 6/6.
Regarding eligibility:-
>>12th Class pass conducted by a State Education Board or a University. For Army, there is no problem whether you take Physics, or Mathematics.
>>a citizen of India
Physical standards:-
you must be physically fit and medically according to physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination.
>>You must be in the age group of 16.5 years to 19 years.
>>Only Unmarried Male are eligible for it
